To make things worse, this particular network was running Fibrechannel over Token Ring (FCoTR) so the storage team is furious as well. More details on FCoTR here: blog.fosketts.net/2010/07/16/fib…

People keep talking about IPv6 on twitter. It's not an area I know much about... As long as it works with NAT to keep my network secure and uses private addresses, I say let's go for it. #NAT_all_IPv6

Typically, I use inverse proxies. High latency is exchanged for low latency with ML/AI/Intent/Wishful Thinking.

Are you starting to put your internal apps behind reverse proxies using something like Duo, Zscaler, etc? If so, what is the impact to latency? As opposed to when apps were reachable directly.

This is a fantastic article but let me rant for a minute... I don't understand why TCP segments get their own routing protocol and UDP datagrams get nothing. IETF politics at their finest.

NEW POST! Last week I showed you MPLS segment routing theory. Now, put it into practice with some sweet Junos config. Let me show you how ridiculously easy it is to replace LDP with SR-MPLS. Click here to learn cool new stuff. You're gonna like this one: networkfuntimes.com/mpls-segment-r…
