I was there. We were all there. Trump killed the bill. He opposed it publicly and his people came with daggers for Republicans who wanted to support it. McConnell on why the bill died: "Our nominee for president didn’t seem to want us to do anything at all."

Trump: They say I told Republicans to kill the bipartisan border security bill. I sort of like that. No one has had power like that in a long time

The failure of the mainstream American media to meet this moment borders on unforgivable.

Breaking Bad is a co-founder story disguised as a drug-dealing story. It’s a hilariously accurate image of what co-founder challenges look like. Here are the best example scenes and what you can learn from them.

It’s slightly infuriating that we’re two weeks from Election Day and it take Mark Cuban to ask this question and start explaining what Trump’s plan to violently round up and deport 10M+ people will look like in practice.

Mark Cuban on CNBC: I sat in front of restaurant owners and asked them 'what would it be like if you got a knock on your door and there was someone from Stephen Miller's squad asking you for the immigration status of everyone who works for you?' That's not how you run a country.

Wow: The Florida official who sent letters threatening TV stations for airing pro-choice ads has filed a declaration in federal court stating that (1) DeSantis' office directed him to send them, and (2) he resigned rather than sending more. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/2524…

Trump has basically run this entire election using 3 answers to every question: 1. Any question on the budget, taxes or economy: A - Tariffs. 2. Any question about a crisis or foreign policy: A - Never would have happened if I was president. 3. All other questions: Migrants!

Watching a documentary about Lockerbie. The people of Lockerbie washed, dried, and ironed the clothing of the victims and repacked their luggage to send home. They washed and dried all the soft toys that were Christmas presents. I never knew this. How kind of them 💔

This is a hugely overlooked moment in recent history with profoundly terrible consequences felt everywhere in the US today

I remember when Reagan closed down the psychiatric hospitals and turfed the patients out onto the streets where they have, pretty much, remained ever since. He also made it much harder to find affordable housing. So the next time R’s talk about the homeless remind them of this.

Gov. Abbott touted that 6,500 noncitizens were removed from voters rolls. But an investigation from @TexasTribune+@propublica+@VotebeatUS confirmed only 581 noncitizens. The rest are potential citizens caught in the purge. @James_Barragan breaks it down:
