I’ve seen folks argue that an author holds “troubling” views because of ideas expressed by a villain, or by a flawed protagonist who changes her perspective as the story unfolds. If we demanded that all characters be angels, it would mean the end of fiction.

not to be sentimental but I think it’s beautiful that libraries exist and are free and that we can use them. I love that there are so many bookish folk who are always reading and learning. I’m so glad to live in a world where there are books.
