On 5 November 2024, Marshall Islands participated in Oral Proceedings on Climate Change at the @CIJ_ICJ in The Hague. As one of the most climate vulnerable nations, RMI continues to advocate for robust legal responses to secure the rights of its people.

Last Friday, 4 Oct, #HRC57 held an Enhanced Interactive Dialogue on the #nuclearlegacy in the Marshall Islands with @nuclear_RMI & @MEInonprofit #OHCHR presented a report highlighting the ongoing effects of the 67 known nuclear tests performed between 1946 and 1958.
in Marshallese culture there are things we’re not supposed to share i.e. some stick dances, stories, roros (chants). There’s a reason why it’s hard to find these recorded because our people asked others not to. That’s why we do jitidram- knowledge is gathered thru that protocol.
