I’m a Rejoiner. I want better for Britain. I want my Labradors to come when called. I want music to interest me again. I like to sit and watch the sea. 💙NHS

Does anyone know why life saving air ambulances have to rely on funding from charities But helicopters for the Royal Family are paid for by the tax payer?

Why is it always disabled people need to get a job, and people need to work until they are 95. But never billionaires need to pay tax and give up their mega yachts?

For too long nursing staff have been overworked, underpaid and pushed to breaking point. Our manifesto makes demands to turn that around. When you invest in nursing, you invest in patients, you invest in society. The public values nursing. We ask prospective politicians to do…

I’m half way through Terrier and having to ration myself. Otherwise I would speak to no one and do nothing. I’m thinking of joining my local book club just so I can share Clement #CamdenAngel. Another winner 👏

Better late than never - the paperback of 'Terrier' is now available for those of you who prefer books of the papery variety... amzn.to/42E6OYZ

I suspect that is rhetorical, but: Our country has a historical conservative bias and for the past decade and a bit we’ve had a Conservative government. Some of the core tenets of conservatism are free enterprise, private ownership and minimal state. It’s not that our country…

My GAS bill alone for 28 days : £267. £121 for electricity. State pension starts at £156 per week. Gas alone is nearly 2 weeks of pension. How are people supposed to afford this basic human need of keeping warm in Winter? WHY is it so high in the UK? 🤷‍♀️ #RipOffBritain

Was rushed in this morning with serious lung infections. On oxygen, been told there won't be a bed for 24 hours. This is where I'm sleeping and being treated. I hope the king and Kate are OK...@nhs #nhs #ToriesUnfitToGovern

This is shocking . A must watch

Watched the first episode last night. My blood is still boiling over how these poor people were treated. There MUST be consequences for the Royal Mail and Fujitsu staff who enabled this injustice to continue for years. #MrBatesVsThePostOffice

#MrBatesVsThePostOffice So basically, the monies 'stolen' didn't exist in the first place, but the PO forced their employees to create these amounts, by remortgaging their properties, using their life savings, etc, to pay THEM. When it was THEIR computer system. And they knew🤬

And they sit on hospital wards waiting. Often bored and frustrated. About 33% of hospital beds are filled with 'fit for discharge' patients. UK hospitals can do nothing about this. We are effectively working on 66% capacity. Which is one of the key reasons why A&E is rammed.

jj💙Queen of the Cheeky Pudsters Reposted

This is the responsibility of the local council to sort out. But council funding has been cut and social workers are dealing with huge case loads. So there are big delays. And we can't send the patients safely home until their care package is sorted out. So they wait. And wait.

jj💙Queen of the Cheeky Pudsters Reposted

Secondly, the NHS is not responsible for social or community care. When elderly folk come into hospital they decondition very quickly and require physio and OT to get back on their feet. Often a care package is required, sometimes even a care home place.

jj💙Queen of the Cheeky Pudsters Reposted

Over this period NHS funding has, broadly speaking, risen about 1-2% over inflation. If NHS funding increases with inflation yet demand increases, then clearly spend per person will drop. Demand has increased considerably above 2%, which is why the NHS is failing to manage it.

jj💙Queen of the Cheeky Pudsters Reposted

Our elderly use a very large percentage of NHS of resources, unsurprisingly because they are more prone to disease, frailty, and dementia. They need more social care and hospital care as they get older. And they are living longer. (Immigrants, by the way, use much less care).
