Some day, you're going to have to explain how you made your money. If it wasn't done honorably, by adding value, then you will be ashamed and will attempt to drown out that shame with addictions of various kinds. Add value, even if it pays less. Your soul will thank you.
Ordinals are incredibly stupid, and there's acres of space on other chains, so why are they on Bitcoin? Because it will last. Because plebs can actually run a node. Because the Bitcoin they're spending is actually scarce. Because it won't suddenly change.
Come hang out with me and some Bitcoiners in Tokyo this Friday! meetup.com/tokyo-bitcoin-…

If the ordinals stuff continues for a while, that's a lot of buying pressure on BTC just to pay the fees. As always there are good and bad sides to everything.
The people shouting loudest about AI dangers are the ones most likely to be replaced by AI.
Moderates/Affinity Scammers: This is all because of the Maxis VCs: This is why you need my pre-mined scamcoin Buttcoiners: Bitcoin will die Socialists: Bitcoin should die Thinkbois: Weasel-y, zero-info wall of text
Narratives any time anything happens in Bitcoin: Altcoiners: See Maxis, your coin sucks Interventionists: Change the rules Sidechainers: We can fix this problem Austrians: The incentives are fine Maximalists: This is good for BTC Plebs: Stay humble, stack sats
1.5 BTC per block is a lot to sustain. ~$4M/day, ~$130M/month That which is not sustainable won't be sustained. Have patience, friends.
If the ordinals thing plays out the way many things have, a lot of miners that grow dependent on that revenue will be wiped out when the inevitable crash comes.
Anyone that's used ChatGPT or Midjourney or any number of AI tools gets the value right away. 15 minutes playing around with it is enough. Web3? Altcoins? DeFi? NFTs? Not so much. This is the difference between something real and something fake.
Fiat money has many levels of indirection to hide the reality of theft. These are often so convoluted that the victims often have little understanding of who's doing the stealing. All rent-seeking runs on theft, whether the rent-seekers recognize it or not.
The best time to start a necessary journey was when you first heard about it. The next best time is now. Don't let your pride, envy, or sloth get in the way.
The trillion dollar coin is at least three levels of indirection over what's actually happening and that's theft. They would rather steal value from all dollar holders than reduce the rent-seeking bureaucracy.
Bud Light is caught between a rock and a hard place. To end the boycotts they need to apologize. Except they can't apologize because they'll piss off the elites We are seeing in real time the price corporations are willing to pay to not piss off the elites. It's at least billions
All real work is like mining. You have to dig a lot and throw a lot of junk away before you find that nugget. All fake work is like signing. You just give approval to what you feel like and collect rent.
Lots of Bitcoin opponents trying to make Fetch happen. Guys, your rhetorical skills aren't good enough to make a new label stick.
Bitcoins are motorcycles, Nostr/Bitcoin use cases, submarine swap markets, a lot of macro analysis and more! #Bitcoin Tech Talk #324 jimmysong.substack.com/p/bitcoin-tech…
The end of all scammers is greater and greater levels of delusion and unreality. In a fiat world, this ends up being nearly everybody as we saw the last 3 years.
