THREAD: I don’t know how to raise the alarm on this any louder. This will be my last effort. The U.K. government’s plan is to vaccinate the most vulnerable people (perhaps with only one jab) and then let the virus run wild through the population. They have now been saying this

I feel moved to say thank you to @ChrisHawkinsUK for making me get up every day without feeling like things are joyless. Genuinely adds so much goodness to my life. A hero! And hearing jazzy Jeff & the fresh Prince this morning set me up so nicely.

Is it common knowledge you can sing Blake's 'A Poison Tree' to 'twinkle twinkle little star'? So cool

Would be good to hear about *what* countries reopening schools are teaching? You'd hope that 'unprecedented times' etc would lead to rethinking curricula. Sadly, so much energy is being exhausted on the minutiae of safe opening, there's so little left for that - @celebratingedu1

"did you perceive / He did solicit you in free contempt / When he did need your loves; and do you think / That his contempt shall not be bruising to you / When he hath power to crush?" 🤯

Train cancelled but it's ok because this man was a great person to talk to. Happy to be the positive propaganda wing of @Se_Railway this morning for him. Otherwise I know the world is crumbling

Read Olav Hauge 'across the swamp' & João Cabral de Melo Neto 'weaving the morning' (from newest Snow Lit Rev) w/ year 10 today. Such thoughtful students. Shame it took majority of class to be in exam for that to seem permissible. Also 'top set'. Maybe different in time.

Unreal and beautiful time @SussexPoFest . Full of gratitude and new books to live with, like the William Fuller one this is from:

sort of review of Sara Larsen's 'Merry Hell' & Danny Hayward's 'Pragmatic Sanction' here: yamuphpikle.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/books-… books to be bought & read!
