I’ve had a busy day with Year 3 from Birchwood Primary. All 60 kids have had a hand in this model of Paddington, making all of the pieces, assembling it, and adding all of the colour. 😁 darrellwakelam.com

Our Nursery children have been using the rhyme ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ as a stimulus for their learning. They’ve looked at ‘A Starry Night’ by Van Gogh and explored the shapes they could see.

The year 3/4 kids today were reeling off all of the other projects we've done together, they remember them all vividly. The work is on display, they know which bits are theirs in each. They talk about it with passion and with a smile on their faces. That's job satisfaction. 👍

I’ve been over to Wrington Primary near Bristol today, where groups of kids from Year 3,4,5 and 6 have worked together to create a display for their school entrance. I love their values of Nurture, Cherish, Flourish, and Aspire. 👏👏👏 darrellwakelam.com

This week's 'school values' display was one of many I've been asked to do recently. I think it's a great way of making the values relevant and relatable, and of creating a display that isn't just 'wallpaper', but which the children have helped to build. darrellwakelam.com
