"Do you do Santa Claus with your kids?" At the gym, another dad asked me that question recently. Here are the four factors that shape my answer to that question: 1. Santa is all over the place. 2. Wonder, pretend, and imagination are vital. 3. I will not lie to my kids. 4. My…

You know, if your church isn’t being impacted by the theological dingbattery of the internet edgelords, you can just ignore those fools. (Pr. 14:7)

Love this!

Our church is in the process of training and examining additional church officers. As part of their character examination, we reach out to references outside of our church at the nominees place of work, to neighbors, and to friends. This practice (common in the business world)…

Being a small church pastor is hard at times. The littlest encouragement from 1 or 2 of your people has you on top of the world. The loss of 1 member makes you feel like a failure. However, success does not lie in numbers but faithful labor.

I’m mostly in reformed circles, and I think one of the knocks against our tribe is that too many of us embrace reformed doctrine but lack the devotion of the reformers. All head, no heart. All polish, no passion. All form, no fire. All theology, no doxology. Let’s be both/and!

Warning: Graphic video of an abortion🚨 I'd like anyone who supports abortion to watch this video & still tell me that abortion is "empowering." As heart as this is to watch, this video proves that abortion is killing an innocent preborn baby. Abortion is EVIL!

Over 4 weeks, I’m speaking at 3 PCA churches on how fathers who do this equip their sons to resist addiction, become great husbands, and more. I hear immediate reports from dads on how it’s permanently changed their families. 1,631 churches left—reach out if interested!

Pastors who faithfully shepherd their churches carry a unique emotional, mental, and spiritual burden leading to a unique need for rest and renewal. Here’s a suggested daily, weekly, quarterly, annual, 5-7 year rhythm: Daily Selah: Take time each day to pause and connect with…

There is no next Tim Keller. But if there is, it’s probably some no-name guy with his head down getting the work done in the church somewhere right now.

The body inside you isn’t your body.

One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.

Hamas has rejected ceasefire after ceasefire for nearly a year. They tortured those 6 hostages and made them film propaganda videos before making them witness each other’s execution-style murder. More than 100 abductees remain unaccounted for. On the day that the parents,…

I don’t think people like Shane Claiborne understand the impact of the past fews years of immigration policy on the black community. Ask your progressive friends to respond to her story. This is so painful to hear! “Welcoming the stranger” vs. #BLM.

I can hear the pain in her voice. This is heartbreaking 💔.

The covenant family has always been a counter-cultural witness to the world. It’s means of putting being one of God’s people on display before the other nations. This is not new but perhaps this teaching has been lost because it’s not an evangelical priority? Thoughts on why?

I’m becoming more and more convinced that perhaps the greatest Christian witness in America’s biggest and richest cities is simply early marriage and having more than two children soon afterwards. Couples that do this will be sharing their faith constantly. No tracts needed.

I wrote about the urban family exodus. America's biggest and richest cities are losing children at an alarming rate. From 2020 to 2023, the number of kids under 5 declined by - almost 20% in NYC - about 15% in LA, SF, Chicago, and St Louis - >10% in NoLA, Philly, Honolulu

Very cool!

I considered moving out of the USA. After some research, I realized leaving is stupid. There is no chance the USA will stop being the global superpower. And the best country for opportunity. The reason surprised me: ⬇️
