If I could recommend just one book to buy (among many great ones from @pragprog!), it will be "Domain Modelling Made Functional" by @ScottWlaschin 🙏 It is a magnificent reading - both when it comes to teaching modeling and showing how great #fsharp is, as a language🦔

I am thinking that "packaged Agile" can't work. It's like dehydrated water. You have to add the water to get water. Agile is about attitudes and behaviors. The packaging removes the attitudes and behavior part , so it's missing the thing-that-it-is, the "sine qua non" of agile.

New tale talesfrom.dev/blog/the-ambig… in which we try to understand the dual nature of processing by examining a foodtruck case. Are "objects" essentially bad? Why you might need "objects", eventually? #fsharp #csharp #java #typescript #SoftwareDevelopment #SoftwareEngineer

Here's the recording from a presentation I gave during #TDC2024 - "I, interface: what you mom didn't tell you about interfaces" youtu.be/ls0k82G1MzY?si… All feedback is warmly welcomed! 🙏 #csharp #fsharp #typescript #java #SoftwareEngineer #SoftwareDevelopment

Nice! Is there going to be a video or slides available?

Once again people realize the integrated tests scam, as well said by J. B. Rainsberger... 15 years ago. blog.thecodewhisperer.com/permalink/inte…

We're getting real with the realization that system tests have failed to be worth their weight. We're killing ALL the system tests (359 cases) in HEY, replacing them with a minimal set of smoke tests. Then leaning on controller integration tests instead. world.hey.com/dhh/system-tes…

“We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it.” Does working with scrum for the past couple of decades count as “uncovering better ways of developing software” or is that the end of the road?

Oh yes, more Jira templates is what I needed to improve the process.
