i suffer from severe ibs even tho i eat super plant-based. i finally met a holistic gastro doc who put me on to food combining. we’re actually not suppose to partner protein and starches together or eat fruit after a heavy meal. i can’t wait to learn more about this.

fruit is super high in fiber and sugar. which is great cz we digest it very quickly. but when it’s on top of a heavy meal it will just sit on top of it and begin to ferment causing bloating, discomfort, and constipation.
