A key point missing in a lot of post debate analysis is that Trump’s claim about immigrants eating pets almost perfectly syncs up to the piano in the Peanuts theme song.

I guess this where I go to yell into the void?

Happy 2023! We’re playing NYE at the Driftwood Char Bar. 4 bands. Dallas Orbiter goes on around 9:45. @ Driftwood Char Bar instagram.com/p/Cm0bWUgs8fq/…

She made me coffee. She put on my favorite show and snuggled with me on the couch. She spent the day baking with me. She helped to quickly clean our mess so she could get to a book and some quiet coloring in her room. I’m a lucky dad.

15 minutes of scrolling and I’m all pissed off and grumpy. Now I remember why I stopped reading twitter.

Big ups to @Carhartt I’ll be buying a new jacket in support of their decision to protect their workers.

A week after Carhartt declared it was keeping its Covid-19 vaccine mandate in place, the company defended its plans despite growing pushback. "We stand behind our decision because we believe vaccines are necessary to protect our workforce." on.wsj.com/3Iu1egF

This. I get annoyed by “this” retweets as much as you do, but still… THIS!

I'd love CDC guidance for vaccinated parents with unvaxxed kids. It's really not too much to ask.

Notes from a maker: perfection is never required but consistency makes fixing things much easier. Commitment to a process from start to finish is always rewarded. Never let Uncle Fuckit move in before you finish.

I’m really upset that the media is already laying the groundwork for dismissing Ma’khia’s death. If police can arrest mass shooters with assault rifles, they can arrest a 16 year old girl with a knife.

This is the beginning. Not the end.

This is Anthony Thompson Jr. — a 17yo Black teen killed last week by @Knoxville_PD in his school’s bathroom. They first said Ant shot a cop before another returned fire, but now admit the cop accidentally shot himself! Why isn’t anyone talking about this? We must demand answers!

What the hell is going on?!?

Media has been ushered to a checkpoint where state patrol is taking pictures of every journalist’s credentials and face.

My version: Daunte was convicted of a victimless crime. His punishment was to pay money. A cop stopped him to extract more money but realized he already owed money, which is a crime. While attempting to electrocute him & arrest him for owing money, she shot him That’s the story

The "warrant" on #DaunteWright was over unpaid fines for 2 minor misdemeanors — one a marijuana case — totaling $346. He pled guilty, filed for deferred payment and they were sent to collections DURING A PANDEMIC. Then he was pulled over for car air fresheners and killed over it.

I often say that we should eliminate the notion of ‘them'. ‘We' should be enough; the whole world is part of ‘us'. This isn't some kind of old-fashioned way of thinking, or an altruistic forgetting of your own interests. I want happiness and in order to achieve that, I need you.

The radio in the car has a “driver only” setting. Evidently it balances the speakers for optimum Steely Dan. I know no one will ever complain from the passenger seat but it still feels kinda selfish.
