neither girlfriend nor wife material but something much weirder and unexplainable
I want a therapist that is a brick wall that whispers me riddles
The re-election of Donald Trump is a decisive rejection of liberalism, writes Francis Fukuyama: on.ft.com/3YJffkn
If you are someone cruel enough to talk about “let’s report the Latinos for Trump to ICE” type shit, I consider you a part of MAGA. You’re happy about deportations? Then why were you fighting them in the first time? The bloodthirstiness. But you know, scratch a liberal…
Oh wow a rich corporate consultant and lobbyist, who is now part of two failed presidential campaigns, blames nebulous “political correctness” rather than pointing the finger at himself and all his rich friends’ failures to achieve the task they were paid handsomely to do
.@PhilippeReines with some tough medicine for his party @CNNThisMorning: He says being held hostage to the far left, that most Democrats he knows think the border is a problem & “males at birth” shouldn’t play women’s sports And he adds: “Again, I’m afraid to say something…
Politicos saying the American people are irredeemably stupid and evil, that we should give up, are so cowardly. Make arguments! Convince people w/ your words! A right wing loser party lost a winnable election against fascism! Let’s build a left wing here, at least fucking try
lol
Democratic insiders begged Team Harris not to campaign with Liz Cheney or embrace her father rollingstone.com/politics/polit…
Yes, narratives are powerful. However, because the economic reality for many people was relatively flat between Trump and Biden policies (excluding external things like covid), I would argue that this shows an opportunity for leftists to interrupt this by really attacking poverty
Leftists need to grapple with this. American voters are not, actually, sensitive to the macroeconomic conditions (this is what you all mean to say when you keep saying “material conditions,” which is a much broader idea). They’re sensitive to moral narratives about the economy
Genuinely wondering why the border became an issue for normal working people when I don’t see how it affects material reality. Theoretically if someone were to say they’d lower rents by $500, but would adopt a left of center border policy, I just can’t see normal ppl complaining.
It’s really telling that a lot of tradwife content denouncing the evils of feminism for “forcing women to work” are often college educated white women whose jobs are “do emails” for 8 hrs sitting in a comfy chair. They wouldn’t even survive working in a kitchen let alone a FARM.
I wish Americans understood how much we’re propagandized every single day
The United Nations just voted 187-2 (Unites States, Israel) to condemn the US blockade of Cuba, and THIS is what we get from The Hill.
This is why we need the liberal arts. No one who has even a passing familiarity with American or European history thinks that until recently women lived lives of sterling mental health frolicking in fields and making crafts. You don't want to work, babygirl. I get it. Work
Women have been collectively convinced that pregnancy is a health-neutral event and I am here to tell you that this is a tactic used to suppress freedom of informed choice.
Me all year: "Polls don't matter, its all a grift, don't pay attention to them" Me tonight: "You know J. Ann Selzer is the Gold Standard of Iowa Polling"
Whoever decided this iPhone emoji should be half cut-off is honestly the greatest artistic genius of our time
