I'm English, but the Grandparent's were Irish. Sometimes my name gets mispronounced, which is bloody annoying. But it's just ignorant to not ask someone how to pronounce their name, and then rude to tell them its spelt wrong when it's a different bloody language to start with.
Seeing English people, mocking how Irish names are spelled is one of the things that boils my blood. No, it's not spelt incorrectly. Niamh is not "nimph" its a different fucking language.
