Teachers: I’ve just seen yet another heartbreaking post from an experienced teacher sadly leaving the profession due to pressure. If your school’s view is that working evenings and every weekend is ‘just the way it is’, the headteacher should not be in that role.
Had my first experience with menssheds.org.uk charity work. Absolutely blown away by the organisation and the community support it creates. Please RT and share to encourage more spaces to be created! @DrLizBates #menssheds #mensmentalhealth #MensHealth
In university, women have been going past equality with men for over 40 years. Despite this, there’s mainly women-only support. 🙃 The source — The DOE (Department of Education) — was founded in 1980, around the same time equality was achieved, which is rather interesting. 🤔

Good use of evidence.
Very good video description."Brain scans, controlled studies, evolutionary psychology, and anthropology, demonstrate that men and women are not the same! We are physically & mentally different." youtu.be/yhwO8u4sZ-8
The importance of analogy is one thing I don't think we talk enough about in instructional design. It should be a core part of teacher training in every subject. It's such a fundamental part of learning. Effective teachers often have an extensive library of analogies for…
Sounds like a major glitch in the system! Voter fraud is real, and they can’t hide it anymore! All patriots that spread this video, will be followed back.
As you will see in our report on boys' achievement, the schools who closed the gap for their boys identified poor literacy as a central issue. However, they did not wait to get extra resources, they all dealt with the issue, starting in Yr 7, with existing funds. (This applies…
Does anyone have a link to this article? (or, is it behind a paywall?)
UK government borrowed £16bn last month. That's £266 for every person in the country - in one month!. People who think this can be sustained are deluding themselves.
(England-only data but interesting): "In many parts of the country the graduate earnings premium is negative - these local economies are unable to absorb or properly use higher qualified people because of the structure of the local economy." Via neilobrien.co.uk/p/levelling-up…
Don’t agree with all @ruthwhippman has to say here (though admire her work to be clear). But I think the “associated with but not exclusive to” framing for masculine & feminine virtues is useful: nytimes.com/2024/10/08/opi…
Ed Miliband, Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves expect you to fall for this shit..
In our age of disagreement, there can be huge value in teaching students how to argue properly – and here are 3 ways to do it, says @AlexJQuigley tes.com/magazine/teach…
1/ "Run for your life from any man who tells you that money is evil." Rand saw wealth as a product of virtue, not vice. She argued demonizing money is a tactic to control people. Money isn't the root of all evil. It's the root of responsibility.
Do you agree with this article by Frank Furedi? He argues that we are already sending too many people to university, that it has devalued the degree and is a waste of some students' time and money. spiked-online.com/2024/09/30/wer…
The fable of the rabbit and the tortoise has been tested in real life. 😂
A little introduction to UK politics.
Our new report by @specalot finds that 3 in 10 schools are covering the concept of ‘toxic masculinity’ in RSHE lessons, and argues that contested beliefs surrounding masculinity have crept into the school curriculum in the same manner as gender ideology. familyeducationtrust.org.uk/new-report-by-…
