Today’s report shows yet again that workload is high, rising & a key reason why teachers are leaving the profession. Anyone notice the 1hr a week the NSW gov claim to have saved you?

This is what happens when teachers have unsustainable workloads, uncompetitive pay and experience decades of public school underfunding by governments. abc.net.au/news/2023-01-2…

What kind of Gov: 1. Says the COVID catch-up program is working. 2. Slashes funding to the program. 3. Tells schools to still run the program by taking funds from other disadvantaged students. The @Dom_Perrottet kind of gov.

Well qualified teachers in front of every class will deliver a world class curriculum for the students of NSW. The Perrottet govt is an abject failure in getting the basics right. We must change the govt this March. #MoreThanThanks @TeachersFed

Teachers need #MoreThanThanks. They need better pay and better conditions, because when teachers burnout, students miss out. #wearitred @TeachersFed

Jim Chalmers has a once in a century chance to spend $250 billion on nation building…without increasing debt by a cent…surely better pay for teachers and nurses are more important and more popular than $9000 for those on $200k #insiders #auspol theguardian.com/australia-news…

@Dom_Perrottet aims to divide the community in an attempt to distract us all from this governments failures. His party have suppressed wages and created a teacher shortage of 2000 now escalating to 15000 by 2030. Now he is just throwing bombs at the education system. Shame!

Here’s another round of announcements. 🤦‍♀️ 1️⃣ Parents would be able to escalate concerns about their child’s teacher or school to a new team. 2️⃣ Parents will receive a copy of curriculum at the start of the year. 3️⃣ Pay a small number of teachers more. smh.com.au/national/nsw/p…

Just putting it out there…a real perspective from a real educator as opposed to those who think they are educational experts & write pieces that continue to blame teachers while in fact they are the ones holding the system together! datainschools.com.au/blog/teachers-…

When year 7 boys use a music room as a wellbeing space at lunchtimes, form their own band and perform on stage at performance evening. Amazing! ⁦@WillyamaHigh#Broken Hill
