Freelance work without a secondary income is completely unattainable for working class people unless the process of paying invoices is ameliorated across the board. It isn't an issue of budgeting - you can't budget if the money you're counting on isn't there.

These are elementary school children who woke up this morning. Who ate their favorite cereal. Who tied their shoes in double knots. Who laughed with friends on the bus. Now more than a dozen are dead. This isn’t normal. It doesn’t have to be this way. It can’t keep being this way
14 students killed in an elementary school shooting in Uvalde, a heavily Latino city in Texas. Border Patrol also on the scene. I pray for those parents fearing that their kids are dead and debating whether or not they'll be arrested if they go to find out.
