This was an interesting thread that highlights a unique aspect of librarianship. I really like @BYULawbrarian 's suggestion of incl who orig created the guide & when. It gives much deserved credit. 👏🏻

You know you’ve really left your job in an academic library when they’ve changed ownership of all your libguides. I knew it was coming but I’m still sad. I worked damn hard on those libguides. Is it wrong to feel like I should get to take them with me? 🙁

This was such a great read, with helpful advice for time management.

This is good to know!

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.

Accessibility tip #1: Don't hyperlink the word "here". Use descriptive language. If you are linking to your quirky introduction video, hyperlink that whole phrase. Imagine a screenreader skipping through to each hyperlink and just hearing, here, here, here, here.
