Iran has suffered a strategic defeat with the fall of Assad. Without the Syrian land/air bridge, it can’t easily rebuild a defeated Hezbollah. Its enormous investment in Syria has gone down the drain. It’s so-called “forward defense” and its ring of fire around Israel is gone.
Israel’s military achievements hollowed out Iran’s axis of resistance. If one had any doubts, look at Syria; Iran has huge investments and can’t save Assad. Neither can Hezbollah or Russia. They are all too weak. That means the region can be steered in a more hopeful direction.
