@Orri_UK @SWEDAUK I would be so grateful if you could retweet my research ad! I’m recruiting people with experience of an eating disorder voice, to complete a survey, and I want to reach as many people as possible! Your support would be really helpful!

I’m researching the eating disorder voice (EDV) experience- please share this advert if you can! I’d be so grateful. And if you’re over 18 and have experience of an EDV, follow this link to find out more: cardiffunipsych.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2r…

bbc.co.uk/news/world-asi… A deep bow of gratitude and peace to Thich Nhat Hanh🙏🏻 Another powerful reminder that life is simply so precious and transient. His dharma, presence, and teachings continue to have a huge influence on me, and he will continue to live on in all our hearts.

Our research is published!🥲So grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growing body of research on #chairwork and the eating disorder voice. Deepest gratitude to @DrMatthewPugh and my research team for all their support and hard work! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cp…

Our latest paper explores how individuals with anorexia nervosa experience voice dialogue with their ED voice - there appeared to be benefits even after one facilitation. Shout out to @drnataliechua & team for their hard work on this: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100… #chairwork

The way we understand an #eatingdisorder is that they’re often used to suppress recognition and expression of someone’s emotional state. A binge may be to escape or avoid feeling. Restriction may be for numbness or the suppression of emotions and memories. #EDcarers

Emily raises an important issue in mental health services. How can we value and support colleagues who have the wisdom of living with difficult thoughts, feelings & experiences? Mental health services including clinical psychology continues to undervalue people's lived experience

Hi 👋 I'm Emily and I work in mental health services. I have mental health problems that are long term and at times I may feel depressed or suicidal. This doesn't stop me being good at my job, taking great pride in my work and caring greatly about the people I support❤
