It's a bit rich when I've spent years watching @teamcity stagnate, hacking around it's limitations and they introduce one new thing (that i've already worked around) and they jack up the renewal. I think this is the push I needed to @jenkinsci Glad my steps are all bash.

When you use a debugger, you're effectively writing an ad-hoc test and executing it manually, step by step. Then you throw it away. Instead of a debugger, how about writing that test in code and keeping it?

I remember when Freddos didn't need a Klarna account. #CostOfLivingCrisis

I knew that we did things at @vivaitltd in a slightly different way than most, but spending some time working with @TesterFromLeic on a project has left me thinking maybe it's not just a little differently.

Congratulations @Mozilla @FirefoxSupport, your recent update with a log-in wall has just bricked wallboards that starts fullscreen without an address bar and your tab taking priority over the preset address. :slowclap:

Taking the plunge with the elephant site, it looks like the bird site is on the decline. Couldn't possibly think why. @dkygo@phpc.social phpc.social/@dkygo

Programming is chaotic magic. There are no rules. You ask a game dev “Can the player summon a giant demon that bursts from the ground in an explosion of lava?” and they’ll say “sure, that’s easy” and then you’ll ask “can the player wear a scarf?” and they’ll go “oof”

Since we developed our documentation site, it's grown massively. What started as 10 documents loosely jumbled together 18 months ago has had nearly 300 updates from all skills/departments in the org. Guidance to customers, internal training, API documentation, all in one place.

I don't know where the image came from and don't take credit for it, but yeah, this.

Iterate. Adapt to iterate, iteratively.

“What things DO? - focus on value created for the business - get feedback from your team (they know!) - get qualitative feedback - eliminate biggest time wasters - invest for leverage - take your team on the journey with you - iterate!” @GergelyOrosz #LeadDevBerlin

Was told that I was the blocker to a project when I booked them the morning only, and they demanded the afternoon too. When three other external stakeholders couldn't do alternative days because of annual leave. When my other half is abroad without me as I'm too busy right now.
