The Tataskweyak Cree Nation in northern Manitoba has declared a state of emergency because of recent suicides and self-harming incidents. In the past two months, four youth have taken their lives. Chief Doreen Spence says the community is reeling and needs help now.

Some people can’t see racism in health care. A Cree teen male went to the ER bc he was unwell. He sat, became delirious & security was called as they felt he was intoxicated. No vital signs were taken. He died 4ish hours later due to septicemia. I reported this. Nothing happened.
