Good start to the weekend as #COVID19 hospital numbers are down to 208 & 51 in ICU. We could be on a good trend with the early benefits of the vaccines reducing the sickness levels for the most vulnerable. The light is shining a little brighter for now. @HSELive

Some continued signs of encouragement this week. Reducing cases, positivity rates & close contacts. But hospital cases & ICU aren't reducing yet. So please let's keep our guard & resiliance for the coming weeks as we aim to avoid the trend in Eurpope & the UK. @HSELive #COVID19

Hospitals, testing & tracing systems in many EU countries are under severe strain today. Many have greater capacity than our hospitals for beds & ICU. I know its hard on many, but what we continue to do is protecting us to date from ending up in the same place. @HSELive #COVID19

Today & for next 2 weeks, ask ourselves, who do we really need to meet? Who can we defer inviting to our home? If you casually meet someone, avoid that desire to head for a chat. Take a step back.Tough, yes. But it's avoiding more people hospitalised or in ICU. @HSELive #COVID19
