IMO, if you want to dress creatively, there are better and worse ways to do it. 🧵
I can get behind Jordan’s wacky suits tbh—this one isn’t even wacky. If I have to see another boring black suit and black/red tie combo I might actually go insane with how little imagination the average human mind is capable of.
Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is in his interest - and his interest alone. To expand his mafia state into a mafia empire. This government will call out Putin’s imperialism for what it is.
I've been told by a few commentators that it was likely Madison, not Franklin, who made the argument presented above. Whoever made it, that doesn't alter the point. 😀 Franklin, apparently, agreed with impeachment being a better way to replace a head of state than assassination.
The idea of a president soliciting a foreign country to help in his reelection was such a massive abuse of presidential power that it convinced America's founders we needed a way to remove such a president from office. Just some fun trivia. 3/3
Franklin said, Imagine a president asked a foreign country to give him assistance in his effort to be reelected. That president would then be beholden to a foreign power. That did it. True story. 2/3
Fun trivia. The people who wrote our Constitution weren't sure whether they were going to include a procedure for impeaching the President. Benjamin Franklin made the final argument to convince them. Want to know how he changed their minds? 1/3
Vice President Harris' 2024 vote total — now sitting at 74.3 million votes and counting — has surpassed Trump's total in 2020 for the third-highest of all time, according to an analysis by Axios. The Trump-Harris popular vote margin is the narrowest since Bush vs. Gore in 2000.…

Because for three years before now, Russia has been throwing flowers at us and treated us with jam and cookies against the backdrop of joyful rainbows and unicorns. Now they will start doing bad things to us.
A Trump supporter testifying against a bill to ban guns from the Michigan Capitol drops the N-word in MI Senate hearing “If you want to address gun violence, we would be focusing on…13-to-34-year-old Sub-Saharan African ni—rs.”
And here is RFK Jr. (from the 2023 documentary "Shot in the Arm," which was about opposition to vaccines): “I’m aware there was a measles outbreak…I had nothing to do with people not vaccinating in Samoa. I never told anybody not to vaccinate. I didn’t go there with any reason…
Some light reading about Kennedy and Samoa: telegraph.co.uk/news/measles-i… apnews.com/article/rfk-ke… motherjones.com/politics/2024/… End.
Post-script: The Samoan outbreak subsided in January, 2020, and hasn’t returned. How? The crash government vaccination program managed to reach 90 percent of the population, a level considered herd immunity for a highly infectious disease like measles.
Kennedy had all manner of disclaimers about his trip to Samoa. But it’s what he *didn’t* do that’s worth noting: Encourage people to save their lives and the lives of their babies by getting vaccinated. Anyway, that’s the guy who’ll be in charge of America’s health.
Kennedy later acknowledged his trip to Samoa had been arranged by…Edwin Tamasese, the guy later arrested by the government for incitement (the charges against Tamasese were later dropped). Kennedy later wrote a blog post describing Tamasese as a “medical freedom hero.”
A few months before the measles outbreak, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. went to Samoa. During his trip, Kennedy met with and publicly supported leading anti-vaxxers, putting whatever credibility he had behind those encouraging people not to seek immunization.
Even with draconian measures, by early January, about 3 percent of the island’s entire population had been infected, and 83 people died, most of them infants and children. How did it happen?
People stayed inside their houses, and the unvaccinated hung red flags or red clothing in their front yards both as a warning and to signal to emergency health workers they wanted to be vaccinated. The U.S. and other countries rushed in medical teams and vaccines…
Your future guardian of America’s health, a short story: The outbreak of measles in Samoa starting in September 2019 created a panic. Schools closed, Christmas events were cancelled, lockdowns ensued. More…
