The neglect by @fema and @NC_Governor in WNC continues to reveal itself. @theblaze confirmed yesterday that all National Guard troops have been pulled from WNC. Cooper has 12,000 Guard troops, including 3 battalions of Guard engineers, available, but none are currently deployed.
New York spends the most at nearly $30k per student. Last year, only 33% of NY students were proficient in reading. Florida spends the least at a bit over $10k per student. Last year, over 80% of Fl students were proficient in reading. It’s not the money.
Most of our problems could be solved by properly funding public education.
As an American I follow UK politics on superficially. I read that this petition is supposed to make them discuss this topic in parliament. But other than that will it actually force them to hold an election? or do anything other than pat the public on the head.
