The decision to choose Portland for the next WNBA team is just as much a recognition of our past as it is about faith in our future. You can tell a lot about a community by where people find joy, and Portland just can’t help but break the mold. See you at the first tip off!

The @WNBA's 15th team calls the Rose City home. 🌹🏀 #WelcometotheW

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in her dissenting opinion in the case about race-conscious admissions programs at Harvard, said the Supreme Court had turned its back on 45 years of jurisprudence aimed at promoting more inclusive and equal schools. nyti.ms/3Xuf2Ay

I am not surprised. This has been coming for years... Having seen what happened to my own college without affirmative action, I will say that institutions of higher learning will be less rich in the most important ways. Diversity is good for everyone.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the race-conscious admissions programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina are unlawful — curtailing affirmative action, a policy that has long been a pillar of U.S. higher education. Read the decision here. nyti.ms/3NuRdnp

ODOE has a new tool to track energy-related funding opportunities through the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act & Inflation Reduction Act. The tracker will help Oregonians learn about funding programs for energy/climate related work. #KnowledgeIsPower energyinfo.oregon.gov/blog/2023/6/21…

Speaking my language today.

Never forget the importance of fostering the nurturing and nourishing relationships and community in our lives that bolster our mental health and well-being.

Not sure who is in the Oregon Capitol today, but I imagine an entire building just collectively exhaled. And then several hundred in other places did the same.

"My favorite thing about living in #Portland is that it's a city that's large enough to be statistically relevant, but small enough to where one person can make a difference." - @turoczy

Accurate. Hoping for #2. Seems safe.

Sucky spot for us @trailblazers fans with the NBA draft lottery tonight. If we get #Wembanyama he will inevitably blow out his knee in a freak croissant accident and if we don't get him he will turn into the next generation KD.

A great example of how lucky I am to have top-notch energy minds telling me what's what every day.

Really wish Alpenrose Dairy was also getting something more in this direction and less toward mostly McMansions with no yards. Heavy sigh. I know all new housing is good housing, but sure wish we had more middle housing in SW...

Basically, this season... So close, yet...

Oh, the Blazers are ahead at half. Maybe I'll watch the second half. [Watches the 3rd quarter....] #RipCity
