Only 10 days until the CASFER Connect Symposium! We can't wait to see everyone on October 15-17! Make sure that you are able to attend our Interactive Testbed Exhibit with Siemens' digital twin technology! For more information, visit casferconnect.com! #casfer #nsf
The CASFER team had a great time during the first day of the NSF ERC biennial meeting! There were so many great talks and we had an amazing time making connections and building relationships with other ERCs! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! #casfer #nsf
I deal with gigawatts (GW) from time to time in my research, a unit of power it is difficult to wrap your head around. A visit to the @bchydro Revelstoke Dam can put it into perspective. Completed in 1984, this is the last hydroelectric project built on the Columbia River.
CASFER is extremely excited to get to host the first CASFER Electrochemistry Workshop at Texas Tech University! A very special thanks to @Pine_Research and the Texas Tech student chapter of the @ECSorg , for helping with the organization of the event. #casfer #nsf
The CASFER Team was excited to host Jacques St-Laurent, who works in Academic Enablement Workforce Development for @siemenssoftware, at the CASFER Headquarters! We got to showcase CASFER’s research, facilities and education programs! #casfer #nsf
We are thrilled we got to see so many CASFER researchers, scholars, and board members at the annual site visit! We can't wait to see how we will continue to excel in the next year! #casfer #nsf
🚨New Paper🚨 Led by @caturof and with @ceapugliese ! Lots to look at with linear green ammonia. Assessing availability of water 💧 green energy 🔌, and the location of farms 🌾 is key 🔑. Nice collaboration with @BB_ISS . @MEGeorgiaTech @casfer_erc
Researchers led by @MartaHatzell and @MEGeorgiaTech performed techno-economic analysis to propose a decentralized and sustainable #AmmoniaProduction using wind and photovoltaic energy. #CleanEnergy Read the #OpenAccess article here 👉 go.acs.org/8Yp
In his major championship debut, Ludvig Åberg is your @TheMasters runner-up. Just the beginning. #WreckEm | #TheMasters
CASFER is excited to share that Anglo American (@AngloAmericanUK) has joined CASFER as an industry member! We greatly value all of our industry members, and we strive to collaborate with them to revolutionize agriculture and enable societal impact on a global scale. #casfer #nsf
In 2 hours will give you information about the groundbreaking invention of a superconductor that operates at 25C ! 👉 Hint: I live in Sydney, which is ahead of time with reference to the rest of the world ! Figure ref: wiki
We have lost a scientific giant, Prof. Allen J. Bard. Thank you, Al, for everything you taught us. You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
Summer 2024 internship opportunity! @NSF engineering research center CASFER is looking for talented engineering students this summer, including a position in @RennerResearch lab at CWRU. Learn more about the opportunities and apply by March 1: brnw.ch/21wGHoD
We have an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students at Texas Tech University! We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the amazing CASFER team! #casfer #nsf
Context; While 720p was once the hallmark of clarity, over time, our advancing standards and technology have rendered what was once crystal clear into what now feels like a pixelated mystery. It's a reflection on the relentless march of technology and our ever-increasing…
🧵My name is Dr. Simon Goddek, and until exactly one year ago, I was banned from this platform for spreading 'medical misinformation'. Now, I live a remote and self-sufficient life in the Brazilian rainforest. In this thread, I will tell the wild story of how I ended up here.⬇️
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of my friend, colleague and executive editor of the CEJ Prof. Dionysios (Dion) D. Dionysiou of the @uofcincy Dion was an integral part of the CEJ team. We will miss you Dion. @EnvSciHealth
CASFER members from Texas Tech University developed a novel ammonia electrolysis process to generate hydrogen gas that will be deployed downstream of an ammonia absorption system to treat wastewater.
Check out our new paper on a new setup for high pressure CO2 electrolysis, just out in Journal of Applied Electrochemistry. We hope that this setup will enable more researchers to study high pressure CO2 reduction, as this remains a less explored route. link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Understanding heterogeneous catalysis is EXTREMELY important if you work with electrochemistry and electrocatalysis. If you don't understand how adsorption and chemical reactions a plain surface occur, you won't understand how electrosorption and electrocatalysis work. Liquid…
One of the greatest experts in #catalysis will be giving a talk this Thurs online: Prof. Hans-Joachim FREUND will discuss how heterogeneous catalysts can be understood and studied at the atomic scale. #chemistry #ChemTwitter
Glad to join the @casfer_erc team @TexasTech for the 6-mo visit by the @NSF team for the Engineering Research Center (ERC) grant. Beautiful campus, diverse student population, excellent research, & the uni. is currently celebrating the centennial year. Did my eval presentation.
