Our (myself @thatpollenguy et al) new study is out. Using robust models, we empirically show that European-driven vegetation change birthed large 🔥in SE Australia. 🔥was smaller under #Indigenous land management, even when 🌧 was variable #fire #wildfires

Why STEM? I love exploring the secrets that palaeo-records can tell us about past vegetation, fire and climate dynamics 🌿🔥🪨🌏🔬 It gives me hope and optimism in such turbulent and uncertain times. It’s pure magic ✨💫 and of course playing with dirt is always fun 🙃
