Important work in rural Australia!

Very excited. My first article with @MaKsusY - the legendary Sue Charlton - on the regional doctorate has been accepted for publication in September. Sue's commitment to regional Australia remains inspiring. This belief will transform the shape of higher education in Oz.

Feeling stressed - join a choir (read more below). If that doesn't help the way you need call a #musictherapist - we would love to work with you to find out what will. classicfm.com/music-news/fee…

Next time someone says "mental health" what if we took out "mental" and just said "health?" "I need time off for my health." "I need to take care of my health." "My (insert relationship) is struggling with their health." "I work in community health" #mentalhealthishealth

Working from a cafe, I overheard an interesting conversation about choosing wedding music- how many times have you heard a song and thought it meant something and then really listened to the lyrics and realise it didn't mean that at all!!? #music

Great way to tap into music- accessible and fun to learn! #makemusic #music #musictherapy

Have you attempted to learn a musical instrument as an adult? Lots of our callers have suggested the ukulele is an easy one to start with. Do you agree?

Brilliant!

So, I’ve decided to run for Parliament #auspol burnside.greens.org.au

Kind of a choppy article with a few loose ends, but curious about how many people this song would work for, or who it would be contraindicated. Personally, I find these type of engineered songs make me feel seasick after listening for a short time. curiousmindmagazine.com/song-that-redu…

Why are people so drawn to apps? When did we lose the ability to enjoy making sound and sensing vibration through instruments or *gasp* experiencing human interaction through group music making? #makemusic #musictherapy #music

“Playing a musical instrument is a rich and complex experience that involves integrating information from the senses of vision, hearing, and touch, as well as fine movements, and learning to do so can induce long-lasting changes in the brain.” theguardian.com/education/2016…

Do you think music can save the world? Today is a good day to reflect on the part music can play in healing, motivating & inspiring change when it's needed most.🎶🎵
