A revision document on Ireland 1900-1923 for 3rd years - I find they mix up events and people here as there is such a volume of information. Big thanks to @KKNTeachLearn for the template ☺️ Hope it helps @JctHistory teachers! #histedchatie 🖇 docs.google.com/file/d/1Q6jdVB…

Does anyone have Norma Foley’s number? ⬇️ #edchatie

Yes it feels good to get the thing done, but remember to enjoy doing the thing. If we just focus on the outcome we may miss the joy along the journey

This👇 will be widespread in Irish secondary schools if Norma Foley, Dept of Ed, the SEC and the NCCA have their way on Senior Cycle reforms if students are allowed to use AI for Additional Assessment Components (AACs)/projects worth 40% for many Leaving Cert subjects. #brainrot

Here's the article in today's Irish Examiner with @humphreyjones's contribution and a few words from myself. But @Jessjcasey also reveals just how easy it'll be for students to use AI to complete their projects.

Excellent thread by Keith re AI in education and for the new Senior Cycle AACs - worth a read.

In their current format, AACs are dead in the water. How can those in charge not see the absolute carnage and damage to students’ education that will follow if they continue with these? irishexaminer.com/news/arid-4153… #edchatie

First it came for the Leaving Cert, then AI went for the Toy Show. Nothing is sacred anymore. #LateLateToyShow

Teachers. If you need a Christmas resource for a lesson over the coming weeks, these may be handy. Lots of festive puzzles and some quizzes too. None are mine but gathered over the years. Hope you find them useful 🎅🎄drive.google.com/drive/folders/…

That is gutting for Ireland. 💔 But look at how far they have come. Over 25,800 in the Aviva cheering them on. Inspiring girls up and down the country to play sport. That alone is huge. There’ll be brighter days. #IREWAL #COYGIG

Anyone with any interest at all in our education system needs to read this. Changes that will embed deeper inequalities in our education system can not be tolerated. #edchatie

Tomorrow lunchtime, @astiunion and @TUIunion members will hold a joint lunchtime protest to express our opposition to the rushed and dangerous implementation of senior cycle reforms which, as formulated, will erode standards and diminish outcomes for our students.
