Several police officers have showed up. “I just want to let everyone standing in front of a door know that everything we are doing right now is totally legal,” one organizer said through a megaphone to the others.

Several people have tried to force their way past the organizers. “Attention people, this does not need to get physical; if you don’t put your hands on us we won’t put our hands on you,” one organizer at the back of Cheadle Hall announced to administrators and staff watching.

Staff and administrators are attempting to enter the building, but organizers are holding firm in not letting people in, although they have said they will let people who are already in the building leave.
