I think I recognize that person 🤗 Absolutely loved this experience and opportunity to help ensure our fundamental rights are upheld

An Alaska village is collapsing in oceans due to climate change but retains residents — Alaska officials forgot to set up voting there. This woman flew there on a small plane last minute to set up a vote-by-fax process. Here she is radioing the village to bring their ballots.

You know, it’s going to be a good day when the state of Alaska recognizes rural subsistence Quyana harvesters

New rule: if the meeting doesn’t involve moose soup, I’m not going

Love how this is uniquely Alaskan. “Hey Jackie, sorry, it’ll be a min to reply” and sends this pic One of the many reasons how important #akleg meetings are - you do the work to get there

NPA ED Laureli Ivanoff being dedicated to get to #akleg meetings and taking a snogo to the airport when the road was closed. #Alaska #ProtectOurWaysofLife

Pretty sure it’s in state statute that you are legally obligated to take Breeze Inn donuts with you whenever you leave Juneau

Hey maybe to celebrate #Indigenouspeoplesday email the Npfmc and tell them to reduce trawl bycatch to allow Indigenous people to continue on our ways of life and cultural connection with salmon after years of no fish and empty smokehouses #stoptrawlbycatch

That 💖 💖💖 feeling when you open your deep freezer and see herring eggs, sea otter pelts, and polar bear 🦦🐻‍❄️

As an Alaska Native (Inuk) in Alaska, I never thought I’d be called “Indian” in Alaska, but I guess there’s a first for everything

We need more Alaskans signed up to testify on salmon bycatch this morning at the North Pacific Fishery Management Council’s Advisory Panel meeting. Here’s how to sign up for your 3 min testimony!

My stomach is in knots

Not even sure what to say here. Rep. Eastman says it’s a benefit to society when children who are victims of abuse die “because there aren’t needs for government services over the course of that child’s life” when they die as a results of abuse. #akleg

Really not loving having to try and guess if my truck will fit in these 3 lane turned 1.5 lane roads in Anchorage

When you drop cash on Native artists, you are investing in culture, communities and redistribution. Time, knowledge and spirit goes into each peace. Love and care are embodied in the piece as well as ancestral wisdom and talent. So don’t complain about cost, it’s worth it 🔥
