New Zealand Food Safety is advising people not to consume a seaweed tonic being sold in a glass bottle labelled “NZ Focuidan” or an unlabelled bottle. The tonic presents a food safety risk as it has not been through the required checks to make sure it is safe to consume.

Recent cases of measles in Tāmaki Makaurau are a reminder for people to check if they are immune. To check if you need the MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccine go to: immunise.health.nz/measles. If you are still unsure about your immunity, it’s safe to have the MMR again.
