And here I thought after the announcement today that I had covered my last football game of the year, but nope, some of these teams are going to force the final chance at a game and get it in at 5pm before the sports “pause” begins at midnight... if Covid doesn’t hit first 😳
Well, ever since the MSHSL reinstated the shortened football season, I’ve only covered 3 of 6 regular season games from the sidelines due to COVID cancelling numerous scheduled televised games, including the playoff game I was going to cover tonight. What a wild year 🤯
😳 How are we feeling about this? I am personally 100% all for the safety of players & coaches, but not covering football under the Friday night lights in the Fall for the first time in 10 years, & what this means for so many student athletes is still hard to swallow 😕
Football is moving to next spring #mshsl board approves motion to move football to spring with no scrimmages, shorter season, fewer games, postseason plan to be determined.

BREAKING: The MSHSL has just issued a statement that the Girls State HS Basketball tournament will continue the next 2 days with LIMITED fans, but will still be broadcasted here on 45TV. There will also not be any 3rd place or consolation games. My heart is broken for these teams

I will always hate that a coin toss for OT determines who gets the opportunity to win the game. OT should never end just because the coin toss winners get a TD. The other team should get a shot regardless. I’ll never understand how this is fair and why it isn’t changed.

My dad just told me they were invited to a big party to watch the Gopher game, and when they got there the hosts realized they don’t get ESPN, so they tried streaming from a computer but could only get it in Spanish, so they played the radio pxp but the TV lagged by 30 seconds😂
