It’s just occurred to me. Why has it only just occurred to me?! Elon Musk is going to run the US now and for the foreseeable future.

I would not have watched this anyway.

While prepping to interview Boris Johnson tomorrow,  by mistake I sent our briefing notes to him in a message meant for my team. That obviously means it’s not right for the interview to go ahead. It’s very frustrating, and there’s no point pretending it’s anything other than…

Dangerous man

CEASE & DESIST: I, together with many Attorneys and Legal Scholars, am watching the Sanctity of the 2024 Presidential Election very closely because I know, better than most, the rampant Cheating and Skullduggery that has taken place by the Democrats in the 2020 Presidential…

The Grenfell Report Phase 2 is almost 1700 pages long but there is an excellent and readable summary at the start of volume 1, pages 9-32 here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/66d817aa…. So many things going wrong, all ultimately about government and regulators pandering to private interests.

Blair is right of course. We don’t just elect people to do what we’ve already decided should be done. Ina representative democracy, we (should) elect them to make better decisions on our behalf, devoting their energy, time, experience, and political judgment to that task.

Tony Blair: “I remember a conversation in the Brexit debate He said to me ‘you're this typical elite, trying to say you know more about it than I do’ But do you know what I said to them? I DO know more because I've been prime minister for 10yrs”

Yesterday the @Telegraph published a comment piece by Viscount Matt Ridley about renewable energy, littered with misleading claims. What to make of it? 🧵

It wasn't just that they failed it was that they *deliberately chose* not to process claims on the absurd basis that 100k people could be sent to Rwanda. A decision cheered on by many of those now complaining about the number of asylum seekers in hotels.

Let’s state what should be obvious about the resentment of asylum seekers living in hotels - that this is a product of past government’s total failure to process claims and that successful applicants want nothing more than to work for their living.

Socratic dialogue with the thugs and their apologists.

#TheWeekInFarRight FAR RIGHT: The Southport attack was definitely done by Ali al Shakati NORMALS: Ali al Shakati means "I have to go to my apartment" FR: OK, maybe he wasn't called that, but he definitely arrived on a boat last year N. Nope, he was born in Cardiff

I have never forgotten telling man after man in cell after cell how long they would get in prison for the 2011 London riots. Once enthusiasm for lobbing bins at police has waned, once your pals have been arrested, once the booze & adrenaline subside - you realise. Then regret.

Bad.

I mean, how bad could it be?

This is priceless.

We have recalled Agent Truss from the field, her work is complete.

This is the most exciting result of the night

This would very much be a ‘hold your nose’ tactical vote, but if I lived in Clacton I’d do it!

This polls has the Conservatives winning in Clacton, just ahead of Reform. Labour voters in this seat could keep Farage out of Parliament if they voted tactically.

Wow.
