I need to read this 3 more times but LOOK! ☂️ an umbrella & meta that goes into (gasp 😲) lumping vs splitting of early life stress effects on health (physical & mental) outcomes? 👀table 5! It uses small, medium, & large to summarize doi.org/10.1111/jcpp.1…

🔥proud of my MUSC clinical psych intern contemporaries: not only did we advocate for higher wages, but then a subset summarized the data into a paper. TLDR: predoctoral psych intern wages < living wage, & the short-term position makes it hard to change psycnet.apa.org/doi/10.1037/te…

One of the most common questions I get when talking about why you need to include the outcome in your imputation model is whether this is “double dipping” or “data leakage” — if this is you, what would convince you that this is not a concern?

Curious why statisticians recommend including the outcome in your imputation models? Check out our new paper in Statistical Methods in Medical Research! @SarahLotspeich, @StatStaci5, and I show with some simple mathematical derivations why this is really a requirement!

Pleased to share our new research in @JAMAPsych >1.8 million mental health & substance use disorders in Australia are attributable to childhood maltreatment. This is a public health priority & we must be investing in prevention @jessiebaldwin @epi_kerrykeyes @DrEmmaBarrett

Controlling for genetic and environmental confounding, study revealed 21-41% of mental health conditions in Australia are attributable to child maltreatment. Over 1.8 million cases & 184,000 DALYs could be prevented if child maltreatment was eliminated. ja.ma/4brnohT
