You may have noticed a few changes. GHSWeather is now Goshen Weather (WxGoshen) on Twitter. There's a new logo, too. Traffic on Twitter continues to plummet, but it's still my fav. Regardless, I have created a Facebook page (facebook.com/profile.php?id…) that will launch soon.
*drops below 60°* Midwesterners:
With colder air arriving, it might be a good time to switch the direction on your ceiling fans. The switch is typically on the side of the main unit. Here's why it matters. #arwx #mowx #tnwx

💨 Incoming! The first Arctic blast (🔵) of the season is forecast to reach the Midwest & Northeast U.S. in about a week... The first frost may happen in many places & flakes could even fly in the mountains! ❄️
New video footage has emerged of the Libya floods, showing how streets turned into raging rivers in just seconds in Derna as nearby dams collapsed due to extreme rainfall. Over 11,000 deaths have been confirmed, with another 10,000 still missing.
The weekend continues to look more and more cloudy, but the rain should hold off until Sunday. Mid 70s tomorrow and near 70° Sunday. Next week looks dry and sunny yet again with another couple of days at or above 80° likely. No signs of lasting cold air just yet but it’s coming.
Some light rain possible at times early and again late today into tonight. Clouds and scattered showers linger into Tuesday before we dry out for much of the rest of the week. Low 70s early this week followed by cooler air with temps struggling to make it into the mid 60s.
Here’s last night’s flight inside the eye of Cat 5 #hurricaneLee
Low clouds and fog early, otherwise sunny and hot with a high around 90°. More of the same the next few days. In fact, the warmer and drier than normal weather looks to continue into September.
Sunny and warm stretch continues despite a few chilly mornings. Dry weather continues into the holiday weekend, but heat returns along with some humidity. Several days at or above 90° possible early next week.
As numbers continue to drop and rules on this platform continue to change, I have decided to focus efforts on Facebook. I will still retweet, repost, re-x or whatever it’s called now, things I find interesting but daily forecasts will not always happen.
All practices for tonight have been modified and moved inside! Check with coaches on changes. All events for tomorrow night (Thursday) have been postponed. Freshman football vs. New Prairie will not be rescheduled. 🔥 #HOT 🔥
Heat advisory goes into effect at noon today. Variably cloudy skies with a very slight chance for a pop up shower or storm this afternoon. High between 90 and 95° with a heat index around 100° this afternoon.
Sunny and warm with a high in the mid to upper 80s today. Heat advisory from noon tomorrow through 11 AM Thursday. Excessive heat watch from 11 AM Thursday until midnight.
Warm and a little muggy under variably cloudy skies today with a high around 90°.
While catastrophic and historic weather is expected in the southwest, we’re now in a stretch of beautiful and hot, albeit boring, weather. Sunny and comfortable today with a high around 80. Close to 90° or above much of the next week. Thursday could make a run at a record high.
The National Blend of Models (NBM) is forecasting 3.79" of rain for Death Valley, California, over a 3-day period. None of the climate stations in Death Valley National Park have ever recorded even 50% of that amount in a 3-day period in over a century of records.
Cool this morning but with plenty of sun today we will warm up into the mid 70s. It looks like about as perfect of a day as you could imagine weather wise. Increasingly warm and dry as we head into, and beyond, this weekend into early next week.
Done with rain for today and for the foreseeable future. Increasingly warm and dry over the next week at least.
