Thank you, @tatereeves for standing up for our students with special needs and for demanding more of our state’s public education accountability model. We’ve made a lot of progress as a state, but we can do even better. Let’s raise the standard and build on our positive momentum!

Today, I released my FY2026 Budget Recommendation. This year’s objective – continuing our record-shattering economic development momentum and doing what’s necessary to build an even brighter future for Mississippi. bit.ly/FY26EBR

There are many lessons to be learned from this election, but hopefully one of them is that advancing school choice and education freedom for all children should be an absolute priority by all parties to strengthen the future of our country.

An A-rating should reflect real success. In one A-rated district, fewer than 30% of students can read proficiently, and less than half are proficient in math. Learn more about the latest accountability scores 👉 empowerms.org/make-it-make-s… #MakeItMakeSense

Take a minute to read this great thread on school choice👇🏻

It is disheartening to hear such misguided comments from Mississippi's new State Superintendent when he was asked yesterday about school choice. First, "School choice" is a lot more than vouchers... mississippitoday.org/2024/10/07/lan…

It’s a dark day in America. I’m glad former President Trump appears to be ok, but it’s alarming that this can happen in our country. Regardless of one’s political affiliation, I hope we can all stand united in condemnation of political violence.

Completely unacceptable.

And the data shows

New report underscores that safely reducing jail populations does NOT lead to more crime. We're encouraged by data showing safer communities & a fairer system are possible. Let's keep working together for #criminaljusticereform. tinyurl.com/y3ndyyfs @MacArthrJustice @CUNYISLG

I’ve visited the Crystal Springs location several times and never had a bad experience. Catfish and oysters are really good, but don’t sleep on the turnip greens and hush puppies. Glad to have this dining option in my hometown.
