Topping is an ongoing process. It doesn't happen in one single session. Institutions unwind positions over weeks/months, the same way they accumulate positions over weeks to months. Here's what leading stocks are doing right now (that's a big cause for concern):

We are entering a seasonally strong period but at significantly elevated levels of bullish sentiment. We may get a rally into the new year and possibly right up to the inauguration. If you haven't already nailed down profits, I would use strength for selling. I already raised…

Fear of a losing trade is the worst fear a trader can have. By proper sizing and risk management a trader can look the markets in the eyes and say, “Bring it on. Give me your best shot.”

Success in trading (market speculation) can be defined in binary ways 1. Big score and then quit trading with $$MMs in bank to never trade again or 2. Make a career out of trading, provide for family, no debt, more than comfortable life Anything else is make believe

EDGE Everyone talks about edge W/O understanding it Edge does NOT come from trade identification techniques Edge comes from obsession with process, self transparency, managing emotions, limiting losses, humility A trend line, chart pattern, cycles, indicators - no edge in these

Conventional Wisdom This is a condition in which there is a widely held belief by the market participants (example: Bitcoin will stop at $100,000). When conventional wisdom really becomes entrenched, I do the opposite. Conventional wisdom is usually wrong.

Has anyone noticed that the trades in which we have the highest hopes often provide the biggest disappointment while the trades in which we hold doubt from the start often are the ones that deliver the biggest profits? Is this your experience too?

Conventional wisdom also leads to conventional results. Some examples I've heard for years: 'You always have to be in the market' 'You should always be diversified' 'It's easier to trade if you are bigger or have more $' 'It was easier to make money back then (then of course…

There is a HUGE difference between a market analyst and a trader When an analyst is wrong, it's called a revision When a trader is wrong, it's called a loss

What I had in mind here is the possibility that bulls will sell their BTC sub $100,00 thinking they will buy a correction that does not come, then turn bearish if Bitcoin goes to $120,000 believing price must come down

Let's say a trader becomes wildly bullish on an asset at $50, expecting price to go to $500 If this trader gets scared out of the position at $100 ... ...he/she will then become bearish at $200 Only real students of trading psychology will understand this phenomena

The rules I built a 41-year career and a personal fortune on. 1. always use a stop loss 2. define your stop before you enter a trade 3. never risk more than you expect to gain 4. nail down decent profits 5. never let a good size gain turn into a loss 6. never average down 7.…
