Happy #IndependenceDay! Did you know that 11 veterans of the Revolutionary War are buried at ANC? These men did not die in battle; all died years or even decades after the Revolutionary War. Originally buried elsewhere, their remains were brought to ANC for reinterment.

On July 5, 1944, @USArmy Pvt. Pfc. Hollis Loomis died while fighting in Normandy. He had landed behind Utah Beach on D-Day. His brother, Pvt. Neil Loomis, had died in North Africa a year earlier. They are laid to rest near each other in Section 12. We honor their service.
