I’ve just read that Tommy Robinson grifted thousands of pounds from his supporters to fund his defence, and then walked into the court and pleaded guilty. I’m certainly not laughing at that. Not even a chuckle. Look, OK then, maybe a smirk.

The problem with this analysis is that Connolly wasn’t jailed because her tweet was vile (a different offence). She was jailed because it intended to incite violence (which she admitted) and encouraged activities which threatened or endangered life. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/10/1…

Without wishing to sound impolite to Thomas Tuchel, who has only accepted a job offer from the FA, but - once again - the England manager should be English. Nationality is the whole point of international football telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/…

Why did Huw Edwards avoid prison? Is this evidence of “two-tier justice”? Let’s take a quick look. 🧵 TLDR: This is an entirely expected sentence for offences of this type.

All that to then go and try and block out for the draw chasing 220 only to go and bottle it. Shame. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke

This is how Southport responded. A group of around 100 members of the community are repairing damage to the local mosque, seen here rebuilding a wall. St Luke’s Road, last night strewn with rubble and debris, has already been cleared.

These will be the same people who spent all last week saying that anyone who punches a copper should get their head stamped on.

I’ve retreated to a safe distance. Demonstrators were kicking down residents’ walls and picking up loose masonry to throw at police. Officers initially didn’t have much body armour.

The suspect was born in wales and his parents are apparently from Rwanda, a heavily Christian country. So yeah let’s protest outside a mosque 🫨

Don’t let any football fan who’s watched all three of these England euros games EVER tell you that test cricket is boring

Trent Alexander-Arnold is averaging 2.5 chances created per 90 for England over the last 18 months - comfortably the highest rate of any player with 5+ starts in this time. Despite being played in a completely unfamiliar role/system.
