Ten years ago today, my wife agreed to marry a 23 year old me; a student abroad, with no stable income. She supported our journey with its difficulties, and stood firmly by my side (still does). May Allah bless & protect her. May Allah bless & protect all of you who are married.

Violet ringneck lost near Alimatha resort around 1230 today and probably flew to Vaavu Thinadhoo... Has a piece of its chain on its left leg.. It will respond to human whistle and when called 'VOILET'.. Its just a little over 2 months..

Almighty. Help us understand every step of our journey in this life. Let us bear good patience as we wait for our prayers to be answered and Your blessings to be revealed. Help us to always trust that Your timing is perfect and that You always work in our best interest! Aameen!

Almighty. Today we thank You for all the blessings You’ve bestowed on us. Thank You for hearing all the unspoken words we couldn’t utter because the hurt was too much to bear. Thank You for mending all our wounds, seen & unseen; and for making the pain more bearable. Aameen!

The way we deepen our love for our surviving loved ones and hug them tight when we bury our mutual loved ones who we wish we could still hug is such a beautiful gift.

"Nobility comes from humility. And honor comes from piety. And freedom comes from contentment." ~ Ibrahīm b. Shaybān (d. 330 AH). Profound words from a great sage of our past - read them more than once and reflect.

I can't emphasize enough how important it is to not wait for people to die to tell them you're sorry or that you love them. Be regular in apologizing and appreciating.

The biggest enemy to contentment is the yearning for what we don’t have. How often do you tell yourself, I’ll be happy when I get this promotion or that job? This is conditional happiness; it may never happen! In fact, it will ruin your chance at happiness. Live in the moment!

Almighty. We ask You for a heart that’s pure; free from grudges, malice & all things evil. Keep compassion alive in us. Help us refrain from judging others as we’ve not walked in their shoes. Keep our hearts at ease; make us pleased with Your Decree. We ask for Your Mercy always.

Having complete trust in Allah is such a stress reliever. Because when you don’t get what you want, you just know Allah has a better plan!

Being religious doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy this world. In fact, Allah ordered us to enjoy His blessings, but without disobeying Him!
