The Nightingale hospital (political exercise- white elephant)has highlighted the real issue.It has shown that the shortage of Critical Care nurses due to lack of investment , understanding or interest-in Nursing or nurse training is the real problem in the NHS.
No, this is an exclusion criteria, the Nightingale only wants patients who are likely to survive to support the corporate narrative from number 10 that the government is planning and coping.

Precisely, a diversionary tactic to cover up the real problem - an ongoing lack of qualified skilled Critical Care nurses and lack of ongoing investment and planning in nurse education.
So, essentially the government only want patients who are likely to survive, so that the statistics for Nightingale hospitals look good, so they can trumpet how successful they are. Call me cynical.
