Subbing today I got a students attention by calling him the logo on his shirt… This prompted the rest of the class to demand their own nicknames. I’ve never seen someone so fired up to be called “orange shoes”, “tie dye”, or “camo”. My creative juices were flowing.
When that dude pops up to tell me I’ve been scrolling for too long I just keep scrolling out of spite. It’s not even fun anymore, but you can’t tell me what to do.
I can’t possibly feel the true gravity of the 215, I haven’t lived under the shadow of its implications. What I can do is work to understand and empower, and therefore stand up for the people I’ve grown up beside who have been affected so we can eventually progress united.

I was today years old when I learned those food prep boxes are meant for two people and you’re not supposed to crush the whole thing by yourself.
I’m a bit confused, so because we play in the NBA and have a salary we can’t talk politics? But how you earn your salary as a doctor, janitor, lawyer, teacher, plumber, store manager, cashier, entrepreneur, server etc. automatically makes you more qualified to discuss politics?
