Second day reporting in Damascus and it’s amazing to see the way the people I’m interviewing lean into the microphone to give me their full name. This was impossible under the regime. Syrians are finding their voices. It’s too soon to know for how long this freedom will last.
ASSAD REGIME HAS FALLEN SYRIA IS FREE CONFIRMED!!!!!!!
NEW - #HTS & opposition fighters are in #Hama city center. Gunfire appears to have stopped. If the city has fallen, #Assad is in real trouble. #Homs lies next & its countryside is FAR more amenable to facilitating an opposition advance.

The sudden apparent take over Aleppo by Syrian opposition militias is an extraordinary development. A 12 year civil war. And then, in about two days, the Syrian regime loses control of the country’s second largest city.
What an incredible cover page
RIP John Prescott..this is a fabulous watch

Received this video of people fleeing Nazon in Port-au-Prince with no idea where to run to. There are just no words to describe this nightmare that’s getting more tragic by the day. #Haiti

Impactful reporting by @ea_akin As the war continues, the health system in Sudan is barely functioning. Hospitals are overwhelmed. There is not enough medicine or medical supplies. Grateful for the work of @SAPA_ORG & health workers who are working tirelessly to provide care.
