Our paper led by Dr. Bos highlights high ingestion rates of microplastics by deep-sea life in the Gulf of Mexico and the differences between nonmigratory and migratory animals. aslopubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ln…

Important new study highlighting that 29 & 26% of #mesopelagic crustacean & fish individuals from the Gulf of Mexico, respectively, ingested #microplastics. Ingestion was higher in species from greater depths and that rely on gelatinous food & marine snow. aslopubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ln…

The diving community can provide essential data on ocean plastic pollution. Such monitoring efforts are needed to guide cleanup efforts and to evaluate the efficacy of various mitigation strategies. @padiaware @PADI @TheOceanCleanup blog.padi.com/padi-and-the-o…

I am glad that our paper on Plastics and Estuarine Fronts is out (nature.com/articles/s4301…), which is in a large Plastic Collection in NREE (nature.com/collections/hb…).@JAMSTEC_PR ; @APN4GCR

A year ago, a non-academic friend listened to a talk I gave. I thought it went great. My friend disagreed. She said that academics are experts at making interesting stuff boring—and that we should all take a speech class. So I did. And here are 6 most useful things I learned.

Glad to share our new research with the world!
