I regret to inform you that *New Jersey* managed to make year-round outdoor dining permanent while NYC did not.

Today, I signed legislation to make outdoor dining permanent in New Jersey. Over the past four years, outdoor dining has been a huge success for both restaurants and customers. We’re proud to continue this popular measure. nj.gov/governor/news/…

Walz was actually a great pick for the pro-worker campaign it looked like they were preparing to run before they decided nah let’s focus on moderate Republican unicorns.

🧵 1/ The election ended 3 weeks ago. Enough time has passed. We -- or I -- can now safely pronounce that the Tim Walz VP pick was a dud. Let me explain:

While Paris is replacing parking spaces with trees, NYC will soon replace thousands of outdoor dining locations with parking spaces. It’s really disheartening to watch NYC abandon its role as the global leader in urbanism.

To fight climate change, Paris takes aim at 60,000 parking spaces trib.al/CpgrWGi

it’s very strange how you don’t care at all about your constituents who take the train to lower Manhattan and 1) pay more in fares than the congestion charge 2) outnumber drivers by a 3:1 ratio

New Yorkers deserve accountability from the MTA, not another unnecessary tax to make calling New York home even more brutally expensive. Read my op-ed on why congestion pricing sucks and must be stopped.

There are people still trying to convince the world that it is antisemitic to be moved by the plight of these children.

Palestinian children drag their belongings under the rain as they flee in Gaza.

Something odd has happened. A “fascist” has risen to power in the world’s oldest democracy. Yet since Trump's victory, the language of autocratic doom has dissipated, a faint memory of a different era. Biden, after all, welcomed the would-be dictator to the White House. 🧵

If everyone who commutes to Manhattan every day did so by car we would need “48 new eight-lane bridges” and “24 square miles of underground parking that takes up the entire borough.” vox.com/2014/12/10/737…

It’s on my heart to say this so I will: With bird flu going as it is (it has already been found in a human in California), it will be everywhere in a matter of months. It is important to think both individually AND community-oriented as we go through these next few years.…

everytime a book gets adapted into a movie, they start using the movie poster as the book cover and it's honestly the ugliest thing in the world

Now, the @MTA announces that the F Train won't be stopping at the 7th Ave station. This is terrible communication. The announcement says to take the G without any information on when it will arrive. Weekends aren't an “off” period, especially during the holidays.

.@MTA this is unacceptable. With these wait times, trying to take my son into the city becomes much harder. Note* The countdown clock was down when we first arrived, so we will probably wait for more than 30 minutes.

As AI improves, I need everyone to remember you should hate AI for it’s lack of humanity and not because it may look ugly right now

Hi everyone =) Here’s a quick test of the new update for AI #Vidu 1.5. The goal is to test the image-to-video function across different styles. 720p. Changes compared to version 1.0: ✔ Handles a greater variety of styles ✔ Manages distant shots ✔ Much more dynamic #AINews #ai

this is pathetic. democrats are gonna completely destroy the “blue wall” electoral college path in 2030 because our local politics are captured by a loud minority of weird NIMBYs who freak out about midsized apartment buildings in New York City

Deal emerging on City of Yes: • Parking mandates will vary by 3 zones (exact areas TBD) • Substantial carveouts for ADUs: banned in flood/coastal zones, & historic districts. Also banned in some low-density zoning districts: R1-2A, R2A & R3A. • ADUs capped at 1 story (cont.)

Your twenties are only as good as your family is rich. If they have money, it's a decade of frivolous travel, partying, and entertainment. If they don't have money, it's a miserable low experience point grind until you eventually have the means of standing on your own.
