Come join the CCE and CIE on Wednesday, December 4th, from 3:30-5pm, in Marsh Hall 210 Petrowski Room, for an evening of holiday crafts, tradition sharing, and food. Come get ready for the holidays as we share our holiday traditions and learn how we celebrate around the world.
Last Wednesday November 20th, the CCE had the pleasure of hosting our last civic dinner of the semester! A heartfelt thank you to our guest advocates from @HAWCNorthShore , @Grassroots4GVP, and Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence for speaking with our attendees.

November 1-December 1, FYS Crowdfunding Campaign. They are back! Students in the FYS on philanthropy are raising money for the University’s Student Emergency Fund. The fund has helped hundreds of hard-working Vikings facing unexpected expenses. Help them reach their goal!
The International Summer Research Program is an eight-week summer program offered by the International Office of the University of Guanajuato. The program runs from June 11 to August 1, 2025, with an application deadline of Feb. 28th, 2025.
On November 2nd the Center for Civic Engagement brought students to Newhall Fields Community Farm for their last volunteer session of the year to help lay down hay and reclaim seeds to use next year. Thank you, Newhall Fields, for teaching us about the awesome work you do!

Salem and Saugus are currently recruiting seasonal Park Rangers for the summer/fall 2025 season. This is a full-time position that would work from mid/late May until early November. If interested visit our linktree in our bio to apply!
The CCE team had a wonderful time collaborating with our friends @FYSuccess and reuniting with students from this years First Year Day of Service. Thank you to all who help put on Day of Service each year, and to our students for being so engaged, it’s why we do what we do!
This past Wednesday, students had the opportunity to visit our friends at Mack Park Food Farm and help aid in both harvesting produce, and winterizing the garden beds. Students had a blast, thank you Mack Park for another awesome volunteer venture!
#throwbackthursday We are taking it back to this years First Year Day of Service. Over 160 first year vikings and o-team volunteers with our amazing community partners, helping to aid in all the important work their doing. What an amazing Day of Service we had!
