Black Friday sales are nearly up, and I’m hovering over several purchases… ❎Visions of Mana (xbox) ❎Dragon Quest 3 HD (xbox) 🅿️Stellar Blade (PS5) 💻Silent Hill 2 (Steam) Most likely leaning towards… all of them…😬
Think I’m done with Stalker 2 after 13 hrs - so many deaths but most of them are just utter nonsense, like this clip, just what is happening here?! Unkillable enemies with magic powers now eh? Part of me wants to go on, but it’s just ridiculous ☹️ 🖥️
Can’t stop taking photos in Flight Sim 24. Visuals are amazing and far more of a game here also with plenty to do. Nice to play with some music or a podcast on 😎 🖥️
Stalker 2 - 11 hrs and 32 deaths in. The most common cause of death is “I don’t know why”… I’m still going but man, this is a frustrating game 😬
Flight Sim 24 actually now works in the UK, and it’s amazing. Tons of content to work through, it’s astounding that this exists. Such a shame about the launch issues. Planning to sink many hours into this over the coming months. 🖥️
Bulletstorm Full Clip edition finished, 7hrs. Great daft fun to play alongside the very different Stalker 2, still looks great. Switch the brain off and shoot everything. £3 in the Xbox sale, bargain. 8/10 🖥️

Tried 1hr of Stalker 2 and had to turn it off - open world looks nice but inside areas are so dark it’s ludicrous. You can barely take a hit, died about 8 times at the first combat encounter (against 6 or so enemies). Hunger/radiation meters, no ammo…unsure if I’ll go back☹️ 🖥️
Finished Dragon Age Veilguard. Simply fantastic - visuals, combat, amount of content. Minor annoyances with camera and lock on plus some unnecessary dialogue. But overall, easily a GOTY contender for me. Shame there is no NG+ as I would’ve started again. 9/10 🖥️
Tried 3hrs of Genshin Impact and not sure it’s for me. As I expected, it’s very fetch quest driven with regular reminders of the store. Looks really nice and colourful but the gameplay loop is already setting in as repetitive. Not sure if I’ll carry on with this… 🖥️
Sooooo, tried a bit of Flight Sim 2024, 21hrs after launch… huge load time, then a crash, tried again and watched the intro video, got to the main menu and then stuck on a loading screen for 20 mins. Gave up. Game looks simply incredible, but sadly cannot be played yet ☹️ 🖥️
14hrs into Dragon Age Veilguard, still excellent. A few minor frustrations, namely the camera with big enemies, and the lock on, but the variety of locations and combat more than make up for it, also using the powers far more now and they are excellent. More tomorrow 😎 🖥️
6hrs into Dragon Age Veilguard and really liking this. Great visuals, decent story, none of the nonsense dialogue (yet..). More hack n slash than RPG. Doesn’t feel like the other DA games necessarily, but regardless, just good fun. Now for 🍺&🍕. More gaming tomorrow 😃 🖥️

Alfred Hitchcock Vertigo completed, 12 hrs Telltale style game, nice artstyle & interesting story, but far too slow paced with some sections dragging on way too long. Enjoyed it despite the issues as a nice change of pace. Recommend only to the Telltale game style fans 6/10 🖥️
Prestige 1 completed in BLOPS6. Really liking this multiplayer, and Nuketown is of course a great addition. Looking forward to season 1 starting next week. Good times. Also, shotguns FTW 😎 🖥️
Trials of Mana completed-a great 6 hour story, dragged over 19hrs by grind like I’ve never seen, and bosses that take forever to kill, including the 14 (yes 14!!) at the end. Lots to like but controller smashingly frustrating. Score 4-7 / 10 depending on frustration levels😬 🖥️
Unexpected release of the day - Death Stranding on Xbox, at a cheap price also. Question is, as I already own the windows version, why don’t I get this also?! 🖥️
Moving on from Mechwarrior 5 Clans A lot to like-looks nice, lots of content, big set piece mech battles are great. Let down by basic design issues-long missions with no checkpoints, arriving at bosses with zero ammo, AI that only targets you… shame, fun but frustrating😢 🖥️
