New article from the lab on slowing @Brain1878: Combining MEP measures and MRI in patients with psychomotor slowing in psychosis, we found more neural noise and aberrant functional and structural connectivity to M1. @SLefebvrePhD @NNiluja @SIRSGlobal @MedFacultyUniBE

Lefebvre et al. show that psychomotor slowing in psychosis is linked to less cortical inhibition and aberrant functional connectivity of the primary motor cortex. Higher levels of neural noise in the motor system may drive psychomotor slowing. tinyurl.com/7crm9kh6

When a manuscript you care about very much gets accepted - just before the holidays 😃 Watch out soon for the results of the overcoming psychomotor slowing study…

Paper Alert 🚨Check out in Molecular Psychiatry: The Neural Signature of Psychomotor Disturbance in depression by Florian Wüthrich and @SLefebvrePhD using #FOR2107 data Thanks to all our co-authors, supervisors @WaltherSeb, @UdoDannlowski, Tilo Kircher nature.com/articles/s4138…

For someone whose cited the Biswal et al., 1995 paper multiple times, it sure is interesting to hear the story of rsfMRI #OHBM2023 #ohbm

excited to share new work from the lab. Actigraphy may capture the severity of catatonia very well. Similar results for two standard rating scales. Activity, number of steps or metabolic classes correspond to catatonia severity doi.org/10.3389/fpsyt.… @NNiluja @SLefebvrePhD
